Great Japanese game show idea
Posted on June 3rd, 2008I think this looks hugely entertaining. Seems less malicious than many of the shows that come out of Japan, and I for one would certainly love to play.
Read and be fascinated (fascination may not follow). My weekly and sometimes daily words.

I’m reasonably hopeful that technological advances will resolve a lot of issues we have in the world today. When I see things like this I think my beliefs are well founded. Mind controlled robotic limbs don’t seem so far away now do they?
Amazing stuff.
My buddy, the Frenchman Tom, sent me this wonderful link to all the new buildings which are starting to spring up round London. I must say the nearest one to me and the most complete of all, the Broadgate Tower is one of my least favorite. It really doesn’t look particularly interesting. I was hoping for a new dramatic building but I’m not sure it adds much to London’s sky line. The Shard of Glass and the Jumeirah Tower look like they will be pretty unique and I look forward to them climbing towards the sky soon.
You can now also do a virtual flyby using Google Earth, although I think the artist renderings in the link above is best for appreciating what they will look like in context.
Which is your favorite?
I love this video. You can really see the influence from Fred Astaire on Micheal Jackson’s style. Elements of break dancing shown too, just in a contest which we don’t expect to see it. Wonderful stuff.

…I’m just not entirely sure what that something is..
mmmmmmmm
I am big fan of these guys. Funny kiwis? what will they think of next.
I’m not a big fan of musical comedy but if you haven’t checked out Flight of the Conchords yet, you certainly should. I actually prefer their non-musical stuff, but that is because it is even better than their fantastic songs.
The more funky monsters (ghosts) - the better.
So entertaining. Great choreography and really well put together.

Apparently he quite enjoys watching Westerns on TV.
…and of course who can forget guide horses?
Couple of interesting moments since I last blogged. I saw a guy break his arm in the powder 10 m from where Daniel and I were trying to film. His buddies were kind of in shock and not sure what to do, so I wandered over and offered my assistance. The first thing one of them says “I’ve seen you on youtube”. What? So apparently they had seen my previous cliff drop on the interwebs and thought I was some pseudo famous ski dude. Anyway I took my belt off, made a make shift sling and got him back to the piste for ski patrol to pick him up. The injured fellow was a top Irishman with a great sense of humour about it all, although I think the vast quantities of nitrous oxide he was sucking back may have helped his mood.
And now today, after I broke my bindings, I strolled into the salomon shop to be greeted by some dude who promptly tells me I’m on the Whistler website. Again - what? So Whistler Blackcomb send out photographers to the park and snap people riding, and apparently I got snapped. Photo below. Link to the Whistler Blackcomb gallery
